The Junior Project Manager & Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. You will also facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach teams to follow Agile best practices. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for project management and Agile methodologies to grow their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and managing project plans, timelines, and resources.
  • Support Program Manager in tracking project progress, identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies and financial tracking.
  • Coordinate with team members to gather status updates, resolve issues, and ensure tasks are on track.
  • Daily identification and management of Risks, Issues, Actions and Scope creep.
  • Prepare and track project changes in the Program’s methodology and tools.
  • Help maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, action items and governance registers.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, escalating any concerns or delays.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the defined scope, quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Ensure stage gates through project lifecycle are met.
  • Liaise across a cross-functional and globally dispersed team to plan and deliver the project outcomes.

Scrum Master Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate daily Scrum stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach team members on Agile practices, helping them to understand Scrum values, principles, and techniques.
  • Monitor team progress and facilitate the removal of impediments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging open communication and transparency.
  • Help the team stay focused on sprint goals and ensure they remain aligned with the overall project objectives.
  • Work closely with product owner and vendor to ensure clear prioritization of tasks in the product backlog.
  • Track and report on team performance, helping to optimize workflow and productivity.

Skills

  • 2 years of experience in an IT Project Management capacity with in depth understanding of a project lifecycle.
  • 1-2 years of experience in project management or as a Scrum Master (entry-level candidates welcome).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Solid understanding of project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project) is a plus.
  • Agile and Project Management certifications (e.g., PMI PMP, Prince 2, Certified ScrumMaster - CSM) are a plus, but not required.
