Barings is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Reporting Analyst to join our Funds Management team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background or interest in finance. The successful candidate will support the investment team by providing analytical support, managing portfolio surveillance and reporting workflows, and preparing responses to a wide range of information requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Run daily and monthly processes critical to portfolio surveillance.

  • Manage timely and accurate reporting, including monthly investment performance metrics.

  • Respond to routine and ad-hoc information requests, including retrieving, collating, and analysing data, drafting concise written responses to qualitative questions, and ensuring the timely delivery of recurring outputs.

  • Assist with a broad range of portfolio management tasks alongside the Investment Team

  • Manage and streamline recurring tasks through Excel models and tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a similar discipline

  • Advanced Excel skills. Experience with VBA, DAX, and/or SQL a plus.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present information clearly.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.

  • Highly efficient in time management, with a structured and organised approach to work
