Job Description :

Who are we?

From humble beginnings to extraordinary futures, Diageo is centred on crafting incredible stories of ambitious possibilities. From our iconic global brands such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Tanqueray and Don Julio, to our local homegrown heroes Bundaberg Rum, Ello and Mr Black, we are a team of pioneers, looking to lead the future of our industry and brands from today. At Diageo, you will be a chosen custodian of our brand portfolio, entrusted with building brands for consumers to celebrate with in the moments that matter. Alongside you will be a group of ambitious, passionate and innovative people, who will help you to achieve extraordinary heights. Together, you will help us create a future worth celebrating.

What will your role be?

Joining Diageo, you will join an organisation that thrives on building meaningful relationships, unlocking growth, and bringing some of the world’s most loved brands to life. Every year, we help deliver 6.5 billion litres of iconic beverages to consumers across 180 countries — and we’re only just getting started. Here in Australia, our Independents team, including the high-impact Key Accounts Team, plays a pivotal role in shaping how our brands show up in dynamic customer groups where they can truly shine.

We’re looking for an energetic self-starter who’s excited to take initiative, lean into opportunities, and help drive our commercial ambitions forward. In this role, you’ll create productive outcomes across promotional management, commercial execution, and data-driven insights — all contributing directly to NSV, GP and share growth. If you’re passionate about learning, collaborating, and making a visible impact with customers, this is your chance to grow with a team that champions bold thinking and brilliant results.

This is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract Opportunity.

What does this role look like for you?

  • Be the face of our team with key customer groups, specifically Independent Liquor Retailers and Chambers Cellars, building trusted relationships, supporting strategic conversations, and helping drive commercial outcomes that align with the Key Accounts Annual Operating Plan.
  • Partner with Key Account Managers and National Business Managers to keep the engine running smoothly - from field deal creation and approvals to modelling scenarios, delivering analysis, preparing customer decks, and managing M&E activities. You’ll be the go-to person for problem-solving and operational support.
  • Turn data into decisive action by delivering insights across customer, market, category, and competitor performance. You’ll translate trends and numbers into recommendations that shape our commercial strategy and help us win in market.
  • Keep our processes sharp and accurate by supporting verification workflows, invoice management, and day-to-day customer queries — ensuring we operate with precision and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Champion collaboration and continuous improvement, working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply and Marketing to unlock new opportunities, optimise processes and elevate outcomes for our customers and our business.

What will you bring to the table?

  • 3–5 years proven experience in FMCG across commercial, sales or supply chain, with exposure to wholesale, customer service or finance operations viewed favourably.
  • Strong commercial skill — including confidence with basic finance, P&L understanding and the ability to make data-led recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel capability and analytical thinking, enabling you to turn data into clear insights and action.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the resilience to navigate challenging conversations and competing priorities.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to problem-solve within a broader business context.

Why Join Us?
