The primary function of the Key Account Manager is to deliver against company targets of volume, market share and profit. The role plays a part in the execution of Red Bull Australia’s business plan strategies in QLD, with particular focus on the delivery against ‘perfect store’ and ‘win vs Competition’ targets and the growth of distribution across responsible accounts.

Job Description

EXECUTION OF PROMOTIONAL PROGRAMS

  • Develop and implement promotional programs across key accounts
  • Discuss and negotiate promotional off locations during monthly account reviews
  • Communicate account promotional priorities to all field teams in a timely and effective manner
  • Provide timely and accurate promotional forecasts both externally with the customer and internally with the demand planning process
  • Manage financial claims and all financial impacts related to responsible accounts

VOLUME, FORECAST AND TRADE INVESTMENT DELIVERY

  • Understand and adhere to the company S&OP process and metrics
  • Actively participate and engage in all S&OP meetings
  • Deliver profitable growth through effective and optimal use of available investments
  • Maintain adherence to approved monthly trade investment budgets for permanent discounts and joint advertising targets

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT - DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS

  • Develop and execute account plans across independent Retail, Petrol and convenience, Non-Traditional Accounts and Corporate Grocery through achieving Red Bull success measures of: Distribution, Ambient & chilled space, Off location display targets both on and off promotion, Price compliance and promotions

CROSS FUNCTIONAL ENGAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with Category Management to translate key sales data into simple, easy-to-use tools for field teams
  • Support the finance team monthly with accruals and reconciliation of actual spend versus forecast spend

ACTIVATE THE WORLD OF RED BULL

  • Develop, implement and drive major Red Bull events at account level
  • Activate off-location displays, and improve visibility through the field teams of these major events
  • Provide state based engagement with key accounts with Filed Marketing Manager (FMM) and field sales teams

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years field sales or other analytical experience

FMCG experience preferred but not essential

Negotiation skills from previous experiences in seeking ‘win-win’ situations

Strong financial and analytical capability

Understanding of category management, marketing, and finance principles
