The Role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing strategic customer relationships across the water infrastructure market. You will work closely with utilities, councils, consultants, contractors, and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities, provide technical solutions, and deliver sustainable business growth.

This role combines strategic account management, business development, market intelligence, and project engagement to support Xylem's continued success in the water sector.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account and sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal and water utility customers
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities and tenders
  • Provide customers with tailored water infrastructure solutions from Xylem's product portfolio
  • Promote service offerings, spare parts, and long-term maintenance agreements
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Service, and Customer Support teams
  • Represent Xylem at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records through Salesforce CRM

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience working within water, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, industrial, or related sectors
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into business outcomes
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline will be highly regarded
