As our Key Account Manager – WI Transport, you'll play an important role in building trusted customer partnerships, identifying opportunities to create value, and supporting the delivery of innovative water infrastructure solutions across your region.

Working as part of a collaborative and highly experienced team, you'll partner with customers, industry stakeholders and colleagues to understand challenges, develop tailored solutions, and contribute to long-term customer success. You'll also help strengthen Xylem's presence within the municipal and water utilities market while supporting meaningful outcomes for communities and the environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, industry bodies and government stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver regional sales plans that support sustainable growth and positive customer outcomes.
  • Identify and support tender opportunities, infrastructure projects and emerging customer needs.
  • Provide trusted advice and tailored solutions using Xylem's Water Infrastructure products and services.
  • Work closely with customers to maximise asset performance through aftermarket services, spare parts and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Gather customer and market insights to help shape sales and marketing initiatives and identify future opportunities.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Support customer events, industry engagement activities and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Skills and Experience

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working collaboratively with customers and colleagues.

You may bring experience from the water, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, industrial or related sectors. Most importantly, you'll be someone who is curious, customer-focused and motivated to create positive outcomes.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience in account management, business development, sales, customer engagement or a related field.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging people at all levels.
  • Experience identifying opportunities, managing customer pipelines and supporting business growth.
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand needs and recommend practical solutions.
  • An interest in market trends, customer insights and continuous improvement.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Qualifications in business, engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded. Experience within water, infrastructure, pump or industrial sectors is welcome but not essential.
