Stake is looking for a KYC/ AML Operations Team Lead to join us at our {Bondi Junction HQ}, with a {flexible hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 WFH).

About this role

The KYC/AML Operations Team Lead will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the KYC/AML team within operations,. This includes leading a team of analysts, optimising transaction monitoring & onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with AML regulations, and supporting the prevention of financial crimes.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transaction monitoring analysts.
  • Oversee transaction monitoring and onboarding (KYC & Name Screening) processes.
  • Ensure compliance with AML regulations and manage regulatory reporting (SARs/STRs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address high-risk transactions and enhance systems.

A bit about you

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transaction monitoring, financial crimes, or compliance, with 2+ years in a team lead capacity.
  • In-depth understanding of AML regulations, transaction monitoring systems, and financial crime prevention frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; relevant certifications (CAMS, CFE) are a plus.
