We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer, who will play a key role in ensuring exceptional product quality throughout the full software development life cycle from requirements gathering to production release. You’ll architect, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites using Playwright, improving CI pipelines, and partnering closely with developers and product owners. Your work will help transform manual testing into reliable, maintainable automation that accelerates delivery and improves confidence in releases.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain end-to-end automated test suites using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
Build robust test frameworks, reusable helpers and page object models to keep tests readable and reliable.
Integrate tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) and own test execution in pipelines.
Create and run cross-browser tests (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit) and validate responsive/a11y behavior.
Collaborate with engineering to triage defects, reproduce issues and ensure fixes have adequate coverage.
Mentor engineers and QA peers on testability, automation best practices, and test strategy.
Analyze flaky tests, improve stability and report test coverage and quality metrics.
Support test data setup, mocking/stubbing backend calls when needed and performance/smoke testing as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience automating web tests with Playwright in JavaScript or TypeScript.
Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, REST APIs.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working with test reporting tools.
Strong debugging skills and experience diagnosing flaky or timing-dependent UI tests.
Comfortable working in an Agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills and attention to test design, maintainability, and reliability.
Fluent English B2 / C1.
Experience with other UI automation tools (Selenium, Cypress) and test runners (Jest, Mocha) is a plus.
Familiarity with TypeScript typing, linting and code review practices.
Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured) and contract testing concepts.
Experience with test data management, Docker, cloud test lab services, or browser farm integrations.
Accessibility (a11y) testing experience and performance testing basics is a plus.
