The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level general commercial lawyer to join our dynamic Commercial (Consumer, Health + Tech) practice group. The team services a range of clients, from small and medium sized businesses to sophisticated global companies, and we're looking for a technically strong contracts lawyer to join us on this exciting journey.

A key focus of this role is providing exceptional legal support to corporate clients through our innovative Desk Extension service. Acting as a seamless extension of their in-house teams, you will manage a diverse range of matters, from overflow business-as-usual work and high-volume projects to delivering specialist technical advice.

Your Responsibilities
  • Owning and building client relationships - LegalVision has a unique client-centric approach to delivering legal services. We understand that quality and technical expertise is a given, and what our clients really want is a trusted business advisor that delivers an exceptional client experience. You’ll be expected to take ownership of all of your clients, and be the client point of contact on all of your matters. You’ll also be involved in building these client relationships, and finding ways that LegalVision can add ongoing value to the client’s business.
  • Providing commercially pragmatic advice to a range of clients across specialist industries, including real estate, healthcare, NDIS, cyber security and more!
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of IT and general commercial contracts, advising on intellectual property arrangements and providing regulatory advice on a variety of issues.
  • Contributing to the growth of team and business through the delivery of articles, external webinars, and internal ‘LV Academy’ training sessions.
  • Working closely with your Practice Leaders, helping to train graduates, and being part of a fun, motivated and supportive team.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced: At least 2 years’ PQE in a private practice or in-house legal environment, with demonstrated experience in general commercial contracts.
  • Attentive: Brilliant attention to detail - nothing ever slips through the cracks.
  • Efficient: Prioritises effectively, focuses on what matters and works productively.
  • Commercial: Demonstrates business acumen and cares about business growth (including helping to grow LegalVision further).
  • Collaborative: Gets a kick out of working with smart, fun and passionate people and learning from them.
  • Adaptable: Grasps new concepts quickly, improves every day and goes with the flow.
  • Service Orientated: Loves assisting clients and providing an amazing experience.
  • Optimistic: Sees the best in situations, is solutions-focused and never gives up.
Benefits
  • Fast-paced environment with accelerated growth opportunities for high performers.
  • Talented and energetic teammates across the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Earn additional ‘LV Leave’ days, plus paid birthday leave, volunteering leave, and parental leave.
  • Annual budget to spend on external learning and development.
  • Regular team socials, drinks and team lunches.
  • Vibrant office environment in Surry Hills super close to Central Station, and flexible work-from-home options.
