About the role

This role represents a superb opportunity to join Australia’s largest integrated drinks business and apply your commercial acumen and legal skills to provide property related legal services to Endeavour Group.
While this position is based at our Surry Hills support office, we recognise the value of flexibility and as a team we role model this through our ways of working where we combine face to face collaboration alongside remote working.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Negotiating and documenting agreements for lease and leases to assist with the expansion of Endeavour Group’s retail and hotel portfolio across Australia.
• Negotiating and documenting acquisition agreements to assist with the expansion of Endeavour Group’s retail and hotel portfolio across Australia.
• Providing legal advice and guidance on landlord disputes and related matters.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to assist Endeavour Group unlock development opportunities for retail, mixed use and residential uses within Endeavour Group’s property portfolio across Australia.
• Negotiating and documenting development agreements and/or joint venture agreements and associated agreements.
• Support Endeavour Group to obtain planning permits for opportunities within Endeavour Group’s property portfolio across Australia; a number of which will likely be contested. 
• Provide strategic and risk balanced legal advice.
• Partnering with lawyers across the Endeavour Group and working collaboratively to achieve strategic objectives.
  

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Current practising certificate, Bachelor of Laws with 6+ years PQE.
• Property law experience with a well-regarded law
• firm or in-house legal team in commercial and retail
• leasing and property development across Australia.
• Sound knowledge of the planning process including
• as it relates to commercial developments.
• Highly self-motivated and dedicated to meet and
• exceed key performance indicators.
• High levels of resilience to manage priorities within
• tight timeframes and within a rapidly evolving
• business environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to
• establish credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to identify and solve problems.
• Constructive and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience dealing with major landlords (either on
• behalf of the landlord or the tenant)- Desirable.
• Experience in the hotel sector, liquor and gaming -Desirable.
