About Energy, Resources and Infrastructure

Our Energy, Resources and Infrastructure group advises on some of Australia’s most significant energy and infrastructure transactions. We work across the full project lifecycle - from development and structuring through to acquisition and financing, with a strong focus on the energy transition.

You will work closely with a number of partners across our nationally integrated Energy, Resources and Infrastructure team, supporting clients on complex, high-value transactions. This includes exposure to mergers and acquisitions, project development, joint ventures and financing arrangements across energy and critical infrastructure sectors.

Our partners are recognised leaders in their fields and bring deep sector expertise, strong regulatory insight and a practical, commercial approach. They are committed to building high-performing teams and mentoring lawyers who want to take ownership of meaningful work and develop long-term sector expertise.

About you

You have a minimum of three years’ post-admission experience gained in private practice, in-house or a combination of both.

You bring experience in energy, infrastructure or project-related transactions, ideally with exposure to financing, development, acquisitions or joint ventures. Experience working across complex or multi-party matters will be highly regarded.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong technical capability and an understanding of transaction structures and risk allocation
  • The ability to manage workstreams and contribute meaningfully to complex matters
  • Confidence engaging with clients and other stakeholders
  • Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in developing deep energy expertise
