About the role
We are seeking a Lead Analyst, Operational Risk and Resilience to join the Business Risk Oversight team within Risk Management. This is a Line 2 role supporting the uplift of the Bank’s operational risk and resilience practices. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, contribute to meaningful work, and grow within a high-performing team.
You will work closely with departments across the Bank to strengthen operational risk management, provide independent oversight and assist with risk assessments, reporting, control reviews, and stakeholder coordination. You will also contribute to the development of frameworks and tools that support continuity of operations and effective third-party risk management
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of the Bank’s operational risk and resilience frameworks.
Provide Line 2 oversight of risk and control assessments, including business continuity, incident response, and third-party risk.
Support the preparation of risk reports, dashboards, and governance materials.
Maintain and update risk registers, control libraries, and action plans.
Help coordinate responses to internal audits, regulatory reviews, and assurance activities.
Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging risk trends.
Collaborate with Line 1 stakeholders to embed operational risk management.
Contribute to continuous improvement of risk processes, templates, and tools.
About you
7+ years’ experience in operational risk, business continuity or a related discipline, ideally within financial services or a regulatory environment.
Strong understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g. ISO 31000) and regulatory expectations (e.g. CPS 220, CPS 234, CPS 230).
Experience working in or with large, complex organisations undergoing risk transformation is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate risks into business impacts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
Familiarity with GRC tools and risk reporting platforms is advantageous.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in risk, finance, economics, compliance, or a related discipline
About the team
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Risk and Resilience within the Risk Management and Compliance team (Line 2), you will play a leading role in establishing effective Line 2 review, challenge, and insight across the Bank’s material risk classes. Establishing strategic and trusted relationships across the Bank is fundamental to the team’s success.
