About the business/role/team
As part of the IT Department, Technology Risk, Strategy and Performance team, this role will be part of a new function, reporting to the Manager of IT Workforce Planning & Enablement. Responsible for designing and delivering data driven solutions to optimise the IT Department operating model.
About the role

  • Shape the design and implementation of functional capabilities within the IT Department, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and future-state operating models.  Collaborate with stakeholders to define, scope, success criteria and embedding requirements to enable operating model enhancements.

  • Provide expertise and operational advice to the IT executive and senior leadership teams to support capability uplift and organisational transformation initiatives

  • Apply data driven approach and maintain metrics and reporting to accurately measure and forecast the short- and long-term needs of the IT department in terms of future growth, working with key stakeholders to ensure that organisational workforce capabilities are being met

  • Provide expert guidance and support to IT managers in the use of tools, techniques and capability assessment ensuring regular reviews are conducted for workforce readiness and agility.

  • Lead business analysis activities across strategic IT Departmental initiatives, including requirements capture, stakeholder engagement, process mapping, solution assessment to support the delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.

  • Support the design, development and implementation of organisational development strategies, frameworks and solutions to build organisational effectiveness and performance aligned to IT department and Bank strategy

  • Facilitate cross- functional collaboration and alignment within the IT Department, and across the Bank to support target operating model implementation and organisational capability development.

  • Contribute to fostering an environment of continuous development, ensuring that our people are at the centre of our design and implementation approaches

  • Contribute to operational effectiveness and simplification initiatives within and across the IT department

About you

  • Solid experience in implementation of organisational development and transformation initiatives demonstrating developed skills in change management (people, process, system) to achieve desired outcomes

  • Ability to advise and influence people leaders drawing on insights and expertise, using data-driven insights to shape decisions

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver on shared outcomes

  • Proven experience in business analysis leadership, including leading requirements, process improvement and solution evaluation across complex IT or enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Experience engaging and managing third parties, such as consulting and professional services, in support of organisational change and development outcomes.

  • Understanding of IT workforce planning and organisational capability development to align strategies to evolving technology and business needs

  • Familiarity with IT operations and processes best practice and frameworks, such as ITIL and COBIT and ability to apply in the context of organisational development and business analysis

  • Strong communications skills including presenting to senior leaders

  • Experience integrating organisational development strategies, frameworks and principles into people solutions to drive a positive employee experience, achieve behavioural change, and enable the achievement of organisational goals and objectives

  • Experience and knowledge in IT and HR business domains a plus.
