Choreograph, part of WPP, is on a mission to transform marketing by building the fastest, most connected data platform that bridges marketing strategy to scaled activation. We work with agencies and clients to transform the value of data by bringing together technology, data and analytics capabilities. We deliver this through the Open Media Studio, an AI-enabled media and data platform for the next era of advertising. We're endlessly curious. Our team of thinkers, builders, creators and problem solvers are over 1,000 strong, across 20 markets around the world.

This Data Scientist role sits within Choreograph's Data, Technology and Analytics team in Australia, partnering with some of the country's leading brands to solve complex business problems and deliver measurable commercial outcomes. The team is at the forefront of shaping the future of marketing through advanced analytics, data science and AI-enabled solutions, and this role is central to that mission. Sitting within one of Australia's most experienced applied data science practices, the successful candidate will contribute across the full solution lifecycle, from statistical modelling and production Python development to cloud deployment and senior client engagement. Success in this role looks like delivering end-to-end data science solutions that translate complex analytical problems into clear, real-world commercial impact.

  • Working alongside highly experienced practitioners across data science, cloud engineering and AI, with direct exposure to some of Australia's most recognised brands
  • Contributing to a team that advises senior client stakeholders on complex marketing and business challenges, spanning strategy through to technical delivery
  • Operating across modelling, engineering and client problem-solving within a single project, requiring both technical depth and strong communication skills
  • Building and deploying production-grade solutions including cloud-native applications, automated pipelines and AI systems that reach real users and real decisions
  • Developing expertise across a broad and evolving stack, including Bayesian modelling, optimisation, generative AI and secure-by-design engineering practices

What You'll Bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering production data science, analytics or AI solutions, ideally within advertising, marketing or a related sector
  • Strong background in statistical modelling or econometrics, with proven ability to apply advanced analytics to complex, real-world business problems and a deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques
  • Excellent Python programming skills, with a consistent track record of writing clean, maintainable and production-quality code
  • Solid SQL and data engineering fundamentals, with the ability to work confidently across data infrastructure challenges
  • Hands-on experience deploying cloud-native solutions including APIs, containers, serverless compute and automated data pipelines, with Google Cloud experience preferred
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices including Git, testing, code reviews and CI/CD workflows
  • Confidence working across modelling, engineering and client problem-solving within a single delivery cycle, without needing to specialise narrowly
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex analysis into concise, business-focused takeaways for senior and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with Marketing Mix Modelling, attribution or media effectiveness measurement
  • Practical knowledge of Bayesian modelling techniques, probabilistic forecasting or optimisation methods such as budget allocation or decision science applications
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI applications including LLMs, RAG systems, prompt engineering or agentic workflows
  • Exposure to MLOps, containerisation via Docker, workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Composer, infrastructure-as-code via Terraform, or REST API development
