Meet the team:

The  APAC Commercial Finance team is a vital co-pilot to the Commercial Teams across 6 markets (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong) in the region, through provision of data-driven financial insights, comprehensive decision support, timely and accurate forecasts, and prudent business controlling, thereby ensuring attainment of Dexcom’s Revenue, Cost and Profit goals for APAC.

Where you come in:

As Lead Finance Analyst for ANZ Cluster, you will support the APAC Finance Director in the following areas:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  •   Analyze financial performance, key metrics, and trends.
  •   Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with regional teams to align goals with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts, incorporating market-specific variables and business drivers.

Strategic Planning and Decision Support:

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Work closely with local stakeholders to support decision-making processes and identify opportunities for growth and profitability.

Variance Analysis and Performance Tracking:

  • Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budgets and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor and track performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement or optimization.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Responsible for ensuring that departments understand and complies with quality standards and requirements as documented. 
  • Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them within the Japan market.

What makes you successful:

  • You must have 5 to 8 + years of experience in finance business partnering, FP&A, or related roles, with specific experience in supporting the Commercial Operations.
  • You have proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and other analytical tools.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of APAC accounting standards, business practices, and regulatory frameworks.
  • You have strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural teams.
  • You have proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.

Travel required

  • 0 - 5% (Especially for internal company events)
