Reporting to the Director of Sales Systems & Data, the Lead Go-to-Market (GTM) Engineer will play a critical role in designing and scaling the technical infrastructure that powers our entire revenue engine. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role that bridges software engineering principles with RevOps strategy. You will architect resilient, AI-powered systems with a primary focus on accelerating pipeline generation by driving efficiencies for both the front-line GTM teams (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success) and their operational partners (RevOps, Proposal Ops, etc). This is a full time, remote position on our team. Occasional travel may be required for in-person team events or meetings.
What You’ll be Doing:
AI & Automation Engineering
- Own the design, testing, and iteration of automation systems that scale pipeline generation (e.g. increased conversion rates, increased “speed to lead”, reduced time/effort per SQO).
- Propose and execute pipe gen experiments on different personas / segments to optimize and ultimately hand off successful new pipe gen strategies to sales team
- Discover new ways to access, connect, and “weaponize” new data sets – both internal and external – to create new methods of generating and converting pipeline.
- Accelerate revenue team efficiency through AI & automation to expedite repeatable workstreams – prospect research, email copywriting, call prep – and maximize reps’ time on highest value activities to generate pipeline.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Regularly collaborate with Enablement, Revenue Leaders, and others to continually improve AI-driven pipe gen strategies using “on-the-ground” feedback.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in GTM engineering best practices, educating revenue teams on automation and data-driven execution.
- Translate GTM strategy into scalable systems using software engineering best practices (rapid prototyping, iteration, testing, CI/CD).
Tech Stack Ownership
- Oversee continuous feature enablement, adoption, and optimization across the tech stack (e.g. Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, Snowflake) with a focus on capabilities that accelerate pipeline generation
- Proactively monitor the AI tech landscape to evaluate new vendors and identify opportunities to maximize the efficiency of our GTM technology ecosystem.
What Success Looks Like in This Role:
- Pipeline Conversion: Increase SAL → SQO conversion rates from <1% to ≥6%.
- Rep Productivity: Increase unique prospects engaged per rep by 50% through AI-powered prospecting.
- Reduce “NRGA”: Reduce the amount of time spent on Non-Revenue Generating Activities by 30%.
- Speed to Lead: Achieve <5-minute average MQL-to-rep response time.
What you’ll bring:
- 2+ years of demonstrable experience designing and deploying automation, AI, and/or ML systems in a GTM context (prospecting, forecasting, coaching, data enrichment).
- 4+ years of experience in a revenue-facing role with a deep understanding of GTM motions, ideally with quota-carrying experience, or in a similarly technical role with significant exposure to supporting GTM teams.
- Strong technical background integrating Systems of Record (e.g. Salesforce), Systems of Action (e.g. Zapier, Clay, n8n, Slack), and Systems of Intelligence (e.g. Snowflake, Looker) to drive tech stack ROI and efficiency
- Deep knowledge of the modern B2B sales motion with a focus on pipeline generation, ideally with experience in the tech / mental health / benefits space and (quota-carrying experience is a huge plus).
- Familiarity with modern AI/agent frameworks (e.g., ReAct agents, predictive scoring, conversation intelligence).
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, driving adoption of new systems and workflows, and using metrics/outcomes to optimize.
- Strong project management skills, able to translate strategic GTM objectives into technical execution.
- A software engineering mindset: rigorous about testing, observability, data hygiene, and iteration cycles.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple competing priorities.
