As Lead Network Engineer, you’ll take a key role in delivering high-quality IT Network Engineering support—ensuring the reliability, resilience, and peak performance of FNZ platforms and corporate systems.

You’ll work across a complex landscape of on-premises and cloud networking infrastructure, while also leading a team of Network Engineers across the APAC region.

This hands-on role also gives you the opportunity to be hands-on, maintaining and optimising physical and on-prem networking technologies within our data centres. You’ll work with a wide range of technologies, including Fortinet, Checkpoint, Forcepoint firewalls, Cisco routing and switching, Cloudflare, F5 XC, and F5 LTM/GTM/APM/ASM—making this a diverse and rewarding position where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and support a small team of Network Engineers, including 24/7 on-call (incident management) and project delivery.

  • Analyse current state, identify gaps, and develop strategies to close them.

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and implement best-fit designs.

  • Collaborate with teams across the APAC region on network design and implementation.

  • Provide network leadership, ensuring incidents and requests (SNOW) are resolved within SLA.

  • Oversee projects and initiatives, aligning with Global Engineering standards.

  • Share knowledge, mentor, and provide technical guidance to other Network Engineers.

  • Ensure security technologies, content filtering, and privileged access remain compliant and up to date (FNZ is SOC-2 / GS007 / OSPAR certified).

  • Support the networking components of Cloud services (e.g. AWS TGWs).

What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer/Architect with in-depth technical knowledge of on-premises and cloud networking.

  • Strong Cisco and Fortinet skills, with expertise in core routing and switching (NSX and Nexus experience preferred). CCNP-equivalent level.

  • Solid understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.

  • Hands-on experience with F5XC / F5 (LTM/APM/ASM/GTM) highly desirable.

  • Checkpoint and Fortigate firewall management and VPN expertise.

  • Experience with data centre racking, cabling, and connectivity.

  • Collaborative and proactive working style, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with Splunk, Nagios, or other monitoring tools (advantageous).

  • Strong problem-solving ability, with resilience in fast-paced environments.

  • Willingness to participate in on-call work (with generous allowances).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
