Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Observability Engineer - Dynatrace Specialist to join our team in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our observability and monitoring solutions using the Dynatrace platform.

  • Architect and implement end-to-end observability solutions using Dynatrace for our mission-critical applications and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper instrumentation and monitoring of applications
  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues, identify root causes, and provide recommendations for optimization
  • Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system health and performance
  • Automate monitoring and observability processes through scripting and integration with CI/CD pipelines
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Dynatrace features and best practices, and evangelize their adoption within the organization
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members on observability practices and tools

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Dynatrace observability platform and strong understanding of monitoring and observability concepts
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Extensive experience in implementing and managing observability solutions for complex, distributed systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing application performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications such as Dynatrace Certified Professional (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of modern software architectures and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles
