About the team:
The Lead Product Owner is responsible for the business service offering of the cash equities trading platform. The PO does this by maintaining an intimate understanding of the trading platforms and can accordingly provide clarity to the team about a product’s vision and goal. The PO is responsible for seeing platform change through from ideation to implementation.
What you will be doing:
Planning, developing, managing and prioritising (business service) platform backlogs to meet business objectives and outcomes
Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts. Guide and shape the team into subject matter experts that aligns with the target operating model of persistent teams.
Act as the key conduit between the business and technology.
Develop and transfer knowledge of the platform to the team with the goal to building a high performance cross skilled team.
Understand customer requirements/needs and determines how the platform can provide a solution.
Transform high level vision/strategic outcomes of the product into detailed scoping and requirements leveraging the team where and when required
Works with market operations, application support and other dependent functions to provide technical/functional platform support and guidance.
Work closely with a range of stakeholders for the product, including non-customer stakeholders such as finance, security operations, support, audit, and others.
Contribute to the overall Product Vision and Roadmap and communicate the vision and roadmap to ensure teams are aligned and ready to execute against them.
Assists and supports Business Analysts in user story / requirements creation
Provides valuable subject matter expertise and input to key governance forums such as project specific committees, data governance and/or assurance activities
Provides valuable advice on Industry Wide Testing and Customer test environments through the lens of both customer and ASX needs.
Incident and Problem management advisory as it relates to expected platform functionality
What you will bring:
Must have:
Ability to distil technical, complex system functionality into easily digestible information for a variety of different stakeholder groups
Financial Markets technology experience especially in Cash Equities trading platforms
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner in agile and hybrid environments
Proven agile experience and an ability to balance competing priorities against engineering cycles
Proven track record in delivering solutions with a customer-first mindset
Proven success in developing and managing backlogs to meet business objectives and outcomes
Cross skilling and collaboration with other team members on product initiatives
Ability to clearly and professionally interact with clients, stakeholders and managers
Nice to have:
Solid understanding of trading systems
Understanding of ASX customers, products and services
Previous product management experience
SAFe Product Owner Certified
