ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Lead and inspire a team of UI designers to deliver distinctive, high-quality work across digital platforms.
  • Translate brand and product strategy into polished, purposeful visual design—spanning layouts, design systems, motion and interaction.
  • Champion craft standards, set direction for visual execution, and elevate the overall quality of UI output.
  • Build and evolve flexible design systems, style guides and component libraries that scale across touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, strategy, technology and delivery teams to bring concepts to life in agile environments.
  • Present confidently to internal teams and client stakeholders, articulating design thinking and rationale.
  • Mentor and grow mid-weight and junior designers through feedback, critique and support.
  • Contribute to the visual design culture within the studio, staying current with trends and tools.

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating world-class UI craft across branding, interface, interaction and digital product design
  • Extensive experience designing for digital platforms (agency or brand-side), with a strong foundation in visual and product design.
  • Mastery of design tools such as Figma, After Effects, Principle and Photoshop.
  • A sharp eye for layout, hierarchy, colour, motion and typography—paired with strong creative direction skills.
  • Experience working across e-commerce or retail is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in agile, cross-disciplinary teams and present work to senior stakeholders.
  • A passion for design culture, creative innovation and delivering work that resonates with users.
