About us:

Founded by Jordan Cullen in 2018, Cullen Jewellery is an Australian fine jewellery brand grounded in intention, care, and considered design.

As a digital-first brand, we bring together traditional craftsmanship and modern technology to create pieces designed to endure – in both form and feeling.

From carbon neutral lab-grown diamonds to responsible material choices and global replanting initiatives, every detail reflects Cullen’s long-term perspective.

About the position:

Cullen is growing fast, and we need our leaders to grow with us. As our Learning and Development Manager, you will build the manager and organisational capability that takes Cullen to its next stage. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture and based in our Kew head office, you will turn our capability expectations into practical development, tools and leadership rhythms that lift coaching, feedback, accountability, performance and succession across our teams in Australia, the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and embed the Cullen capability framework and manager development pathway, designing and delivering practical programs on coaching, feedback, performance conversations, trust and leading change.
  • Build the tools managers use every day, including the Cullen Managers Handbook and clear guidance for 1:1s, development and performance conversations, and partner with the Head of People and Culture on senior leader capability.
  • Own the company-wide learning calendar, learning management system, company induction and HQ onboarding framework, working alongside our Retail Trainer and Retail leaders so onboarding and sales training connect without overlap.
  • Embed our behaviour assessment tool as a practical language for communication, coaching and team effectiveness, and facilitate team workshops that improve how teams work together.
  • Run our engagement and pulse survey cycles, bring together engagement, exit and Glassdoor insights, and work with leaders to turn feedback into clear actions with owners and due dates.
  • Own the succession planning framework, facilitate talent reviews, and build development pathways for our Retail leadership pool and other priority talent.
  • Measure what matters: whether learning is being applied, manager effectiveness, succession coverage and internal appointments, not just attendance and completion.

What we are seeking:

  • Proven experience in a learning and development, organisational development or leadership capability role, owning programs from design through to implementation and evaluation.
  • A strong track record building manager capability in coaching, feedback, accountability and performance conversations.
  • A confident facilitator and communicator who can engage senior leaders, managers and diverse employee groups.
  • Experience running engagement or employee listening programs and turning the data into practical leader actions.
  • Experience supporting succession planning, talent reviews, career development and internal mobility.
  • A data-led, commercially minded approach, with strong project management skills and experience using learning management, performance or employee listening platforms.

What we offer:

  • The chance to shape learning, leadership and succession from the ground up in a rapidly scaling global brand.
  • Enjoy a supportive, Monday–Friday corporate culture in our modern Kew office, complete with convenient parking options.
  • Generous staff discounts on our fine jewellery, plus a 20% discount for your friends and family.
  • An extra week of paid leave every year to support a charity close to your heart.
  • Sponsorship of a child in need via Baptist World Aid for every full-time team member who joins our family.
