As the Learning and Training Facilitator, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and coordination of training programs within our Sydney Line Maintenance Operation. You will play a key role in delivering practical, operational learning programs that drive continuous improvement across the Engineering team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will act as a key business partner and provide expert advice to translate business strategy and operational requirements into fit‑for‑purpose training solutions. In addition, you’ll deliver engaging, high‑quality training, provide guidance on learning solutions, and act as a conduit between the business and Qantas‑approved Learning Management Systems to support consistent training delivery.
You’ll have –
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or a related discipline (highly regarded)
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills, or experience and understanding of a line maintenance or operational engineering environment (highly regarded but not essential)
- Proven experience designing, coordinating and delivering high‑quality training programs using adult learning principles
- Experience working within Learning & Development, including training management, business partnering, consulting or similar roles
- Demonstrated capability to deliver training across multiple environments, including face‑to‑face and virtual settings
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams
- Well‑developed negotiation, influencing and communication skills, enabling engagement with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Sound analytical, conceptual and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive and self‑motivated approach
- Ability to work effectively in complex and ambiguous environments while handling confidential information with discretion
