PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $25.67-$31.30 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.11-$37.07 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. BENEFITS

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Lending Solutions Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of helping members achieve their financial goals. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor by providing guidance, solutions, and expertise across consumer lending, real estate secured loans, and business lines of credit and Visa products. Your ability to listen, uncover needs, and connect members with the right solutions will deepen relationships, foster trust, and deliver meaningful impact. By creating exceptional service experiences, you’ll not only drive member engagement but also help fuel BECU’s growth while advancing your own career journey.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Advise and Guide Members: Use your product knowledge and expertise to uncover member needs and recommend solutions that support their financial goals.

  • Be a Lending Expert: Serve as the go-to resource for members and teammates on consumer, real estate secured, and business lending products.

  • Strengthen Member Relationships: Leverage programs like Member Advantage to create lasting, value-added relationships and ensure every member feels supported.

  • Simplify the Loan Process: Interview members, complete loan applications, and ensure accuracy in all documentation so members experience a smooth lending journey.

  • Support Real Estate Lending: Identify the appropriate appraisal report options, provide automated valuations when possible, and guide members through the process.

  • Deliver Financial Services with Care: Provide timely, efficient, and professional service, ensuring member issues are resolved quickly and thoroughly.

  • Maximize Value: Focus on building high-value relationships and transactions that benefit both the member and BECU.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal departments to design strategies, enhance products, and improve the member experience.

  • Coach and Mentor: Share your knowledge and support new employees to build confidence and expertise in lending solutions.

  • Go Beyond the Basics: Take on additional duties as assigned to support members and contribute to team success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum two years of financial service sales experience, or three years combined experience with outbound sales and financial services required.

  • Experience in originating Lending Applications.

  • Understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical and math skills with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Comply with SAFE Act legislation, including annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).

  • Thorough knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending, ECOA, and HUD rules and regulations.

  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of the consumer loans and member service training program with at least one year of experience as a Member Consultant (including loan interviewing, funding, and processing) within BECU or another financial institution.
