You’ll provide Line 1 risk leadership across FACS, with a particular focus on key enterprise risks including Capital Management & Allocation, Claims Inflation, and Forecasting & Pricing, as well as Premium Revenue as a CPS 230 critical operation.
You’ll design, document and test business controls, uplift assurance outcomes, and partner closely with stakeholders across Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3 to drive pragmatic, high-quality risk and compliance outcomes.
More Specifically, you will:
Own and maintain FACS risk profiles, ensuring risks, controls and obligations are accurately captured and managed in Protecht
Design, document and test key controls, and drive timely remediation of issues
Provide Line 1 risk input into business change initiatives to ensure risks and controls are embedded before go-live
Lead incident, near-miss and issue management, including root cause analysis and control uplift
Manage CPS 230 requirements for the Premium Revenue critical operation, including BIAs, BCPs, testing and assurance evidence
Coordinate internal audit and assurance activities
Prepare insightful risk reporting for senior management and risk forums
About you
With approximately 5–8 years’ experience across Line 1 risk, finance, actuarial and insurance operations, you bring a deep understanding of finance fundamentals, including pricing, forecasting, claims cost drivers and capital considerations.
You have proven capability in designing, documenting and testing controls, as well as effectively coordinating audit and assurance activities to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
Furthermore, we’re looking for:
Hands-on experience with Protecht or similar GRC systems
Ability to translate complex risk issues into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a delivery-focused mindset
Confidence influencing across Lines 1, 2 and 3 while balancing commercial outcomes with prudent risk management
Exposure to CPS 230 and operational resilience requirements is desirable, though not essential
CA, CPA, actuarial or risk/compliance qualifications
We know some people only apply when they meet every requirement. We’re always on the lookout for curious individuals who will add to the culture – so if this role resonates with you and you have relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you!
