About the team and role:

The Line 1 Risk and Compliance team within the Securities and Payments division support the business in the day-to-day management of risk and compliance activities and assist in the embedment of ASX’s operational risk and compliance strategy, the uplift of risk maturity within the Securities and Payments division and ensure risk is considered in key operational decisions and process design.

The Line 1 Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Risk and Compliance Partners with risk profile reviews and assessments, risk mitigation plans, risk reporting and project risk initiatives

What you will be doing:

  • Gain an in depth understanding of the end-to-end S&P Businesses and become a trusted advisor to the S&P Business teams on risk, compliance and control initiatives and improvements

  • Work with key stakeholders within Securities and Payments and across the ASX to further embed the Operational Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks

  • Support the delivery of risk and compliance reporting

  • Support management in maintaining rich data quality in the ASX GRC tool

What you will bring:

  • Gained experience in Line 1 risk related role preferably within the Financial Services Industry.

  • Gained experience in Risk Profile reviews including issue and incident management

  • Gained experience in the design and implementation of CPS230 and resilience frameworks

  • Gained experience in root cause analysis and critical thinking

  • Demonstrated the ability to build strong internal relationships and collaborate and work effectively across teams

  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritise work, a demonstrated ability to deliver to deadlines

  • Communication skills – excellent oral, written and presentation

Nice to have:

  • Developed a strong understanding of project risk and delivered risk assessments

  • Developed a strong understanding of control testing

  • Understanding of different financial products

  • Strong Operations process related knowledge
