About The Role:

As a Senior Investment Analyst, you’ll focus on private markets within the Alternatives sector, analysing a range of structures including listed and unlisted managed funds, LICs, LITs, and ETFs. You’ll deliver research that supports financial advisers and may also contribute to other asset classes as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on private markets managed funds under the guidance of the Sector Manager
  • Coordinate and participate in review meetings with Investment Managers and Analysts
  • Prepare detailed research reports and investment reviews across various asset classes
  • Communicate research insights to clients and respond to product-related queries
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of research processes
  • Support broader team initiatives, including rating committees and daily bulletin contributions
  • Other duties as reasonably required

About You:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications (MBA, CIMA, CFA) highly regarded
  • RG146 accreditation required for authorship of published research reports
  • 5–7+ years of financial analysis experience across investment firms, superannuation, or similar environments
  • Strong background in manager research across asset classes, with private markets experience highly valued
  • Skilled in qualitative research with the ability to distill complex financial data into clear insights
  • Excellent communication and interview skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised and adaptable, with proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong client relationship skills and a deep understanding of investment markets and asset classes
