Shape and guide the development of Machine Learning Operations at the Reserve Bank of Australia
We have an exciting newly created opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Analytical Centre of Excellence team, where you’ll play a key role in delivering scalable, production-ready AI and advanced analytics solutions across the Bank.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll ensure data science applications are robust, maintainable, and aligned with our enterprise architecture, data, and technology standards.
You’ll be part of our Data Delivery, Knowledge Management team who are a passionate, collaborative group of problem-solvers who share ideas openly to deliver modern, efficient analytical outcomes for the Bank.
About the role
Collaborate with teams across the organisation to translate advanced data analytics and AI solutions from ideation and requirements gathering to production.
Embed robust Machine Learning Operations practices and capabilities within Knowledge Management to enable scalable deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement of data products and AI systems around the Bank.
Deploy advanced analytical tools, applications, and models into production environments.
Implement solutions to ensure deployed models are observable and explainable
Monitor and maintain production systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and timely updates or retraining.
Manage code versioning, CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, and documentation to support reliable and repeatable deployments and operations.
About you
Demonstrated knowledge of MLOps principles, including CI/CD for ML, dataset and model monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management.
Demonstrated experience deploying and managing advanced analytical pipelines and models in enterprise environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of scalable system design and integration with enterprise data platforms.
Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure and containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
Demonstrated problem-solving and debugging skills, with a focus on automation and reliability.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high-quality documentation and adherence to applicable information and data management standards.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability approaches and technologies.
Awareness of Data Management & Governance principals.
