The Management Accountant is responsible for manage cost & management accounting functions, including cost analysis, budgeting and inventory valuation. This role delivers timely & accurate product costings, monitoring operational efficiencies, and supporting strategic decision-making with recommendations on margin opportunities.

The role will involve EPD/NPD costings, quarterly pricing reviews and margin analysis, ERP standard costs maintenance and inventory valuation.

Please note the Management Accountant position will business partner with the manufacturing team members located in Casino plant. Therefore, regular travel to Casino is required for this position. 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and monitor product costs, raw material costs, and overheads to ensure accurate standard costing.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of new product costings
  • Reporting on cost variance analysis to standards and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing and operational costs.
  • Conduct margin analysis by product line and suggest improvements for cost efficiency.
  • Manage inventory valuation and control; work closely with warehouse and production teams.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by providing necessary cost data.
  • Implement and maintain cost control procedures and ensure compliance with internal and external audit standards.
  • Own and monitor plant P&Ls along with operational budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to optimize cost flows.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the supply chain.
  • Assist in strategy planning & business case development.
  • Own capex plans for operational & supply chain business needs.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on profitability, pricing strategies, and product cost breakdowns.

  • Successful collaboration with operations, NPD and commercial to streamline processes
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders 
  • Responsibility for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies 
  • Meets project deadlines and delivers quality results 
  • Support the business with cost accounting expertise

Qualifications

What You will bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional field (MBA or CPA/CMA preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost or management accounting, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory systems, and ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics BC, SAP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
