The Opportunity

We’re seeking a commercially minded CA/CPA qualified Management Reporting Accountant to support the Macquarie Technology Group’s Telecom business unit with reporting, insights and financial control.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with key stakeholders, you will be responsible for providing insightful financial information to senior leadership to support informed decision making, analyse performance, trends and track key business plan initiatives.

In This Role You Will

  • Own month-end reporting, analysis & commentary
  • Deep dive into revenue & COS by product & customer
  • Prepare executive-level reports & board commentary
  • Maintain strong financial controls & balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support budgeting & forecasting cycles
  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to drive performance
  • Use Dynamics 365 F&O + Excel (advanced) + Power BI (viewer)

To be successful in your application you will have the following;

  • CA/CPA qualified (5+ years PQE preferred)
  • Experience working for a large corporate, ideally and ASX listed company
  • Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience including experience with GL and subsidiary ledger (FAR, AP & AR) and experience with billing, PO & expense processing
  • Experience with FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, capex
  • Advanced Excel and D365 F&O
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Detail-focused, proactive, organised, enjoys ownership
