As the Manager Change Risk & Resilience - Qantas Engineering, you’ll lead the development and delivery of process frameworks for risk, change and resilience to help ensure Qantas Engineering remains safe, compliant, and future-ready. You’ll partner with senior leaders and front-line workers across the business to deliver meaningful outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and managing QE’s enterprise risk management framework.
  • Providing strategic advice on risk and change management.
  • Building greater awareness, engagement, culture and capability on risk, change and resilience management, by driving effective management of change initiatives, embedding risk management practices across QE’s operations, and strengthening resilience, in line with the Group strategy.
  • Act as the focal point for operational risk reporting, working closely with Group and QE stakeholders to strengthen compliance.
  • Shape how QE manage risk, respond to change, and protect our people, customers, and reputation.

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in risk management, safety systems or organisational resilience, ideally within aviation
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary risk, change and resilience practices
  • Sound understanding of WHS legislation and aviation regulations
  • Proven analytical skills in hazard identification, root cause analysis and risk profile improvements
  • Ability to navigate complex systems and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in working within a business partnering or similar service model, including the ability to build effective and influential working relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence presenting to senior leaders
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Risk Management or Safety Management
