The Global Client Group (GCG) is Dimensional’s distribution arm, comprising sales channels that target a diverse client set.  GCG is responsible for developing new business relationships, as well as managing current relationships with our global clients. GCG are a group of business development and client service professionals working closely together to build strong relationships with the largest and most sophisticated asset owners in the country. We take the time to gain an understanding of clients’ evolving needs, identify where we can add value and collaborate to provide a better investment experience.

The Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join a collaborative, high calibre and growing team in an organisation that has a strong track record of promoting from within. You will work in a dynamic culture of collaboration and innovation as part of a global business.  This position will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated Client Relations Group representatives, based in Sydney who provide support to the GCG.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Work with the team to streamline and optimise processes that enhance productivity and efficiency across channels and departments.
  • Identify training needs within the team and provide relevant coaching and development opportunities on complex investment presentations.
  • Develop and deliver educational investment and sales related presentations to CRG.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and recognise top performers.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise within the team, ensuring a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to facilitate team and channel goals.
  • Support and strategically partner with departmental and channel heads.
  • Prepare Excel and PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership, often on sensitive or confidential matters.

Desirable experience and attributes:

  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams in a global funds management or financial services business.
  • Strong leadership, team management and delegation skills, with a track record of developing and motivating teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of supporting multiple departments and senior leaders in a matrix environment.
  • Investment management industry experience in a client service capacity.
  • A strong sense of professional and personal integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Demonstration of initiative, accountability, and a focus on delivering consistent quality work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying policy, guidelines, expectations and responsibility in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to prioritise and exercise time management skills.
  • A strong academic background is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required. MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services/Investment industry.
  • A proven track record and history of sales success is preferable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Able to work equally well in a team environment and independently.
  • Self-starter who is capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Strong computer skills (Excel and Powerpoint) with the ability to learn programs as needed
