About Us

Founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, Qantas has grown to be Australia’s largest regional, domestic, and international airline. Qantas has a range of subsidiary businesses that support the overall operations of the Group. The Qantas Group’s main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands — Qantas and Jetstar — operating regional, domestic, and international services.

Job Description

  • Lead a high-performing team while shaping a globally connected sales support function across multiple regions.
  • Drive process improvements, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption to deliver world-class support.
  • 12 month fixed term contract based at our Mascot Campus

At Qantas, we’re constantly challenging ourselves to reinvent the future—finding new ways to connect with customers and enhance their journey. From our humble beginnings in the Queensland outback in 1920 to becoming a global airline, we’ve always taken pride in pushing boundaries.

We’re seeking a Manager Global Sales Support to lead the AU Sales Support team and act as the primary escalation point for regional teams across Asia, the Americas, UKEMEA, NZ, and the Pacific. In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth and consistent operation of the global sales support function by streamlining processes, developing standards, and providing teams with the right tools and platforms to succeed. You’ll also oversee escalations, foster collaboration, and drive efficiency across regions to deliver best-in-class support for our corporate and agency sales teams.

As a strong leader, you’ll develop the AU team while promoting knowledge sharing, training, and best practice adoption globally. You’ll partner with key functions including call centres, site teams, policy and procedures, finance, and sales teams, ensuring onshore and offshore needs are understood and aligned. This is a unique opportunity to shape a globally connected support function and play a key role in the success of our international sales organisation.

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years’ experience in a sales or contact centre leadership role, with tertiary qualifications in business or commerce
  • Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to develop teams and achieve business goals
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to drive alignment across functions
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement
  • Experience leading and serving multi-cultural teams, agents, and customers across regions
  • Strong business acumen with negotiating skills, able to assess impacts and drive commercial outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in complex and ambiguous environments
  • Highly motivated, organised, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and strategically
