Manager, Influencer & Social (APAC)

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org. 

Expedia Group is looking for a strategic, creative, and highly organized Manager, Influencer & Social for the APAC region, covering Australia, New Zealand, Korea, and Japan. This role will lead regional influencer programs, social content execution, creator partnerships, and local social campaign management while supporting cross‑functional storytelling initiatives that drive engagement, brand love, and measurable business impact.

This position sits within the broader Communications organization, partnering closely with global social and influencer leadership, PR, brand marketing, and regional market teams to bring to life compelling brand stories.

In this role, you will : 

Influencer Marketing & Creator Partnerships

  • Lead influencer and creator programs across AU, NZ, KR, and JP, aligning regional initiatives with global strategy.
  • Identify, vet, and manage relationships with influencers, creators, ambassadors, and talent partners relevant to each APAC market.
  • Develop campaign briefs, oversee outreach, negotiate deliverables, and manage execution end to end.
  • Collaborate with global influencer teams to support tentpole campaigns and brand initiatives, ensuring regional alignment.
  • Track creator deliverables, ensure brand safety and compliance, and optimize performance against goals.

Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Localize and implement social media strategies that reflect travel behaviors, cultural trends, and platform usage in each APAC market.
  • Manage local social campaigns end‑to‑end, including planning, execution, approvals, and reporting across AU/NZ/KR/JP.
  • Manage and maintain content calendars across all markets, coordinating with the global social team for brand consistency and cohesion.
  • Partner with PR and Marketing to activate localized cross‑channel social storytelling around campaigns, product moments, seasonal narratives, and key cultural moments.
  • Oversee local content production, including briefing, asset development, market‑specific edits, and delivery.
  • Manage regional social media and content agencies, ensuring quality, consistency, timeliness, and performance against strategic goals.
  • Support the localization and adaptation of global social campaigns, ensuring relevance, cultural resonance, and platform best practices for each APAC market.
     

Analytics, Insights & Reporting

  • Use insights to refine regional strategies, identify trends, and recommend optimizations to improve performance.
  • Support social listening efforts to capture regional travel trends and inform content opportunities.
     

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely stakeholders across the business to drive integrated communications.
  • Work with external agencies, production teams, and vendors on regional influencer and social programs.
     

Market Expertise

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on APAC influencer culture, social platforms, creator ecosystems, and consumer trends.
  • Tailor creator and social approaches for culturally distinct markets such as Korea and Japan.
     

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years experience in influencer marketing, social media management, content creator programs, or digital marketing within APAC markets.
  • Strong understanding of platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging regional platforms.
  • Proven experience managing influencer campaigns end to end (briefing → contracting → execution → reporting).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience reporting on social and influencer KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience, especially in cross‑functional, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple markets, timelines, and cultural nuances simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience working with global or regional brands, ideally in travel, lifestyle, entertainment, or e‑commerce.
  • Familiarity with influencer management tools such as CreatorIQ, Sprinklr, or similar platforms.
     

Please note that this role is only available in the following location: Sydney Australia, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week.
