Data & Analytics - Finance Manager
You have a strong analytics background and over 5 years of experience in finance and/or Insight Analytics. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can understand complex issues and apply data-driven insights to resolve them. This role requires a high level of proficiency in Power BI, Alteryx, and project management.

The Group Support Services Finance (GSSF) team is part of Group Operations Finance, partnering with senior leadership of the bank’s Financial Services, Marketing, Strategy, Risk, Human Resources and Legal functions. The GSSF team manages the end-to-end finance functions for these businesses, and collaborates regularly with other Business Unit and Group finance teams throughout the organisation.
We are a small but dynamic and effective team who support and interface with multiple Group Executives and a large number of their direct reports, managing ~$1.5b of costs. In light of this, we enjoy significant networking, exposure, and skill-building opportunities.

The Manager GSSF Decision Support role is a fast-paced role with rapidly changing priorities, primarily focused on developing and managing the data, tools, and infrastructure required to effectively manage a large cost. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and be comfortable managing a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop models, curate data, and deliver reporting tools that meet their needs, along with identifying areas where change is needed and developing plans for implementing those changes

Develop and maintain financial models that accurately forecast future performance, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.

Continuously monitor and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of financial models. Ensure that financial models are accurate and up to date.

Collaborate with various departments to identify business requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Proactively leverage data assets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will inform business decisions. Collaboratively develop presentations and reports to communicate financial insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that minimize disruption and ensure the successful adoption of changes across the organization.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for change initiatives.

Develop and deliver training and communication plans to ensure all stakeholders are informed and prepared for changes

A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Dual degrees in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science would be considered highly advantageous.

Proven experience as a Financial Modeller.

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

Demonstrated expertise in Excel, Power BI dataflows, queries, and DAX, with a high proficiency in ETL processes.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modelling tools, including superior coding capabilities using VBA.

Proficiency with database, data transformation, and visualization tools such as Alteryx, SQL would be beneficial.

Demonstrated financial literacy and the ability to understand and reengineer processes related to insight synthesis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Ability to gather, collect, and analyse large volumes of data and form connections between various pieces of information to form a business narrative.

Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Strong documentation skills with experience in creating business requirement documents, process flow diagrams, and use cases.
