About the role:

This is a key leadership role within our Risk Advisory Services division, responsible for managing client engagements, leading and developing team members, and delivering high-quality risk and governance outcomes. Working across a diverse portfolio, including exposure to public sector clients, you will lead complex projects, undertake strategic research and planning, and develop practical risk mitigation solutions. The role also involves building strong client relationships, mentoring staff, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Lead and deliver multiple audit and risk advisory engagements to a high standard, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality and compliance requirements.
  • Manage, mentor and develop audit team members, including workload planning, resource allocation, training, coaching and methodology compliance.
  • Build strong client relationships, engage with senior stakeholders, understand business operations and provide practical, tailored risk and assurance solutions.
  • Review engagement work, identify and resolve technical, ethical and quality issues, prepare reports and recommendations, and provide key insights to Partners.
  • Drive commercial performance through effective budgeting, fee management, profitability oversight and coordination with internal teams and service lines.
  • Support business growth by identifying client opportunities, contributing to business development activities, sharing technical expertise and delivering professional presentations and client meetings.

About you:

  • 6-8 years’ experience in Professional Services 
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong prioritising skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to utilise resources to optimise engagement outcomes through self-management;
  • Add value by providing first class service in response to client demands and;
  • Management of a client portfolio such that all client needs are dealt with on a timely basis
  • Relevant tertiary degree and/or qualification

Desirable

  • Exposure to working with public sector clients
  • Business Development exposure
  • Relevant certification or professional membership
