The opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the Group Compliance team. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join QBE as a Manager, Monitoring, Group Compliance, where you will provide assurance and support in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the evolution of compliance practices across a broad range of corporate functions, using data, technology, and agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Your new role

  • Lead deep dive compliance reviews and provide strategic recommendations based on findings

  • Design and implement a rapid review methodology using agile practices (sprints, stand-ups, retros)

  • Lead reviews of records in the Risk Management System, including the management of risks and controls self-assessments, and issues and incidents

  • Identify and implement opportunities to uplift oversight through automation and live dashboards

  • Lead creation and adoption of real-time data dashboards to support decision-making

  • Drive automation of manual compliance tasks to improve operational efficiency

  • Conduct periodic AI-enhanced reviews of personal data and staff expenses to ensure policy compliance

About you

  • Prior experience working in compliance, risk management, or audit functions.

  • Exposure to regulatory environments—experience within insurance or financial services is a plus

  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for process improvement and innovation

  • Familiarity with agile practices and data visualisation and automation tools (e.g., Power BI)

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence change in a large matrix organisation

  • Experience using AI or automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)
