About the role.
What you'll be doing.
The Manager, Procurement Finance plays a critical role within the North American Finance team as the Finance business partner to the VP Procurement. Accountable for cost variance reporting, analytics and forecasting, along with partnering with Procurement function making forward-looking decisions for the North America region.
The individual will focus on the development and implementation of key performance indicators and reporting to identify opportunities to manage costs and implement best practices within the Procurement space. This individual is accountable for providing financial oversight and financial management of the SCA (sustainable cost advantage) program for the Procurement team. This role partners closely with the extended North American Finance team to provide financial insights, track savings within the P&L, and guide sourcing decisions across both direct and indirect categories.
This position requires a strong grasp of, and genuine interest in, North America's supply and commodity markets, enabling proactive insights that shape pricing and sourcing decisions. The successful candidate will be able to navigate high-pressure situations, influence stakeholders, and assertively challenge assumptions when necessary to optimize financial outcomes while also supporting McCain's commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plan as applicable for North America Procurement categories, including direct (Oil, Batter, Cheese) and indirect materials (Energy, MRO).
- Analyze spend trends, commodity price movements, and currency impacts to provide cost estimates/forecasts.
- Partner with category leads to quantify, validate, and deliver savings to the P&L.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Serve as the Finance lead to the NA Procurement function, influencing sourcing strategies through data-driven insights.
- Build financial models and scenarios to support negotiations, make vs. buy, and total cost of ownership decisions.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Maintain strong financial governance over procurement-related spend, ensuring compliance with McCain's policies and controls.
- Enhance transparency in global spend data through improved analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with IT and Procurement to streamline systems and processes for better spend visibility and decision-making.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior leadership highlighting savings delivery, risks, and opportunities.
- Stay informed on global market dynamics, and commodity pricing to anticipate financial impacts and guide planning.
What you'll need to be successful.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA/CFA designation preferred).
- 7+ years of finance or FP&A experience, with experience in procurement finance, commodity analysis, or supply chain finance.
- Deep interest in finance, cost management, budgeting, reporting, and North America's commodity markets
- Proven ability to deliver measurable cost savings and financial insights in a procurement or supply chain context.
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including commodity cost tracking and forecasting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and analytics tools (Power BI).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of global supply chain and commodity markets.
