About the Role

The primary objective of the Solution Consulting Manager ANZ (Human Capital Management – HCM) is to manage the Solutions Consulting (presales) operations and Solutions Consulting team to support Workday ANZ revenue targets achievements, as well as maintaining a high customer satisfaction level and strong motivation of employees.

As a key member of the ANZ management team, the HCM Solution Consulting Manager ANZ personally contributes to achieving Workday ANZ main missions and objectives, such as deal support, demand management, yearly planning, Solution Consulting enablement, etc.

The Solution Consulting Manager ANZ personally ensures the "One Team" objectives, establishing a strong collaboration and partnership attitude from the Solution Consulting team with the Sales organisation as well as other local and Asia Pacific teams.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Leadership & Vision: Define and communicate the ANZ HCM Solution Consulting team's vision and goals, ensuring alignment with Marketing, Value Management, Sales, and other key functions.

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute the team's strategic plan, including resource allocation, skills development, process optimization, and budget management to achieve productivity objectives. Contribute to the ANZ HCM GTM plan.

  • Sales Partnership: Serve as a strategic business partner to Regional Sales Directors, collaborating on target industries, account/opportunity strategy, solution positioning, win themes, and value propositions.

  • Deal Support & Best Practices: Champion best practices in value-based selling, customer understanding, simplified demonstrations, compelling storytelling, and competitive intelligence. Provide deal leadership through solution captaining and contribute to key opportunities. Proactively manage sales escalations.

  • Pipeline Management: Drive active participation in early opportunity validation, coordinate sales support, nurture the qualified pipeline, and influence customer decisions towards Workday.

  • Demand Generation: Ensure active participation in demand management planning and activities to increase quality pipeline generation and maturation.

  • People Management & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop the Solution Consulting team. Foster a culture of trust, provide regular feedback, and ensure fair treatment. Focus on talent retention, rewards, development, and acquisition. Address underperformance effectively.

  • Financial Performance: Drive proactive resource and cost management to maximize support quality, win rates, and profitability.

About You

Basic Qualification (must have)

  • 5+ years in Solution Consulting (Presales), Consulting

  • Current/ Prior Solution Consulting Leadership experience

  • Business level English skills.

Other Qualification (preferred, but not essential)

  • Exposure to SaaS and/or IaaS/PaaS solutions and in positioning the transformational benefits of the same.

  • Knowledge of HCM domain with leadership of teams that compromises of Solution Consultants with different skillsets.

  • Experience in C-level customer engagement, with ability to communicate influentially and develop a trusted-advisor relationship.

  • Experience in people management, performance management, sales and Solution Consulting processes, complex sales management and innovation selling, building and motivating high performing teams.

  •  Drive for results and “can do” attitude

  • High level of accountability in a high growth environment
