We’re looking for a Manager in Training to join our Flagship Pitt St, Sydney CBD store! This is your chance to help lead a passionate team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and make a real impact.

Why this role is a game changer

As a Bailey Nelson Manager in Training (MIT), you won’t just support the store, you’ll help run it. You’ll play a key role in delivering seamless, joy-filled customer experiences, from clinic to frame styling to final dispense. This is more than a job, it’s your pathway to running your own store.

You’ll:

  • Support with store operations (including running the store 2 days a week)
  • Support the Store Manager & Optometrist to drive performance
  • Own the customer journey and make every interaction exceptional

What we’re looking for

  • Retail, Hospitality, or Optical Leadership Experience: Proven experience at a supervisor or management level within a fast-paced retail, hospitality, or customer-centric environment
    You know how to lead from the front, manage shifts, and keep a team motivated
  • Values-Driven & Grounded: Someone who aligns perfectly with our culture and values - down to earth, tight knit and constantly striving to improve
  • Commercial Acumen & Sales Drive: Proven experience at a supervisor or store management level, with a track record of smashing sales budgets and driving retail KPIs (Multipairs, ATV, Conversion)
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: A passion for delivering world-class optical experiences, mastering the customer journey, and prioritising the customer above all else
  • Natural Leadership & Accountability: Experience running daily store operations, managing rosters, and taking full ownership of store performance. You lead by example and love coaching and upskilling team members
  • An Aspiring Store Manager: A driven retail leader with the ambition and resilience to upskill and step into a BN Store Manager role within 6–12 months
  • Available to work full time 38 hours, Sunday–Thursday roster
