About The Role

Audit Manager – TRR Sector Group (Retail, Consumer, TMT, Natural Resources)

Join our dynamic audit team as an Audit Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in leading audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting for clients in the Retail, Consumer Business, TMT, and Natural Resources sectors (TRR Sector Group). This is an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, supervise and develop staff, and contribute to the strategic direction of our service line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit planning, including risk assessment, budgeting, and staff allocation.

  • Manage and review audit fieldwork, ensuring compliance with International Auditing Standards.

  • Draft and present audit committee reports, management letters, and audit findings to boards and committees.

  • Review and audit accounts for a variety of entities, ensuring compliance with legislation and accounting standards.

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.

  • Oversee client work-in-progress, including invoicing, forecasting, and account management.

  • Contribute to service line management and strategy development.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Client-focused with excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including Australian IFRS.

  • In-depth understanding of Australian Auditing Standards and statutory requirements.

  • Independent thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Proven ability to manage client portfolios and achieve team outcomes.

  • Professional, proactive, and driven to deliver results.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • CA qualified (or equivalent).

  • Significant audit experience, between 6 - 10 years

  • Managerial experience highly regarded.

  • Broad client experience, including ASX-listed companies and various industries.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and audit tool software (desired).
