Join our global Market Data team in Sydney as a Market Data Manager, supporting the firm’s market data lifecycle, including product onboarding, compliance, reporting, and vendor query resolution. The role supports a global user base and requires a self-motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving.

Your future role at QRT:

  • Manage contracts and maintain accurate records in the inventory database, including pricing, usernames, and departments
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across trading, research, and technology to understand data requirements and ensure effective market data support
  • Lead vendor relationships, resolving day-to-day queries and information requests
  • Meet regulatory requirements, including month-end reporting to exchanges
  • Monitor exchange notifications, assess required actions, and update systems accordingly
  • Develop tooling and support a variety of market data projects to improve team efficiency
  • Maintain organised records linking contracts to pricing, user limits, and other key data
  • Prepare for audits and ensure timely, accurate processing and reconciliation of market data invoices

Your present skillset:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in market data roles
  • Strong stakeholder management across internal and external parties
  • Experience with major exchanges and vendors (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ASX, LSE, NYSE, Nasdaq)
  • Familiarity with permissioning systems (DACS, EMRS)
  • Solid understanding of market, reference, and index data, including non-display usage
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong data analysis capability
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping discipline
  • Experience in financial services or investment management
  • Clear communicator with strong organisational skills in fast-paced environments
