Job DescriptionThe Market Development Manager (MDM) will build and oversee the business plans, conduct opportunity analyses and set new business/technology priorities for our RFID penetration within ANZ.
As a part of a team, the MDM will be responsible for driving top line growth and developing new business opportunities for RFID and other Digital Trigger technologies utilizing a full suite of Avery Dennison products and solutions. This position works closely with our Asia Pacific Intelligent Labels Commercial and local ANZ teams, collaborating effectively across business units to identify and evaluate opportunities that convert into revenue.
Key Areas of Focus
- Identify, assess, develop and manage new programs and new business opportunities across multiple Industry verticals including Logistics, Retail, Healthcare & Food leading to successful commercialization efforts.
- Coordinate and maintain product demonstrations with the ADX experience centre, with brand owners, external partners and customers.
- Own responsibility for execution and sales results by close collaboration with the IL Commercial front end team and connection with cross BU commercial functions.
- Develop full solutions stack offering (both inhouse and external partnerships) to address targeted Segment Use cases.
- Incorporate knowledge of the industry to partner with stakeholders to develop market right products, support materials & pricing recommendations across RFID/Intelligent Label solutions.
- Work with prospective Brand Owners (clients/customers) to identify unmet needs, and present compelling solutions.
- Initiate, determine, and present ROI business case analysis to Brand Owners.
- Stay abreast of industry trends by attending trade shows, events and staying on top of market insights as well as global branding trends.
- Communicate and link key value propositions, differentiators to clients with AD’s solutions.
- Craft customized go-to-market strategies for ANZ target segments, use cases and individual clients.
- Develop long-term business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain working C Suite relationships with key decision makers and business partners within the clients organizations.
What we are looking for
- Ability to develop go-to market strategy, as well as execute activities in cross functional matrix structure.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in market development, business development or sales.
- Detail oriented, project management and communication skills a must.
- Strong influencing skills and storytelling skills and ability to champion projects both cross functionally and vertically within the organization, ability to gain buy-in from senior-level executives.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel as required
- Previous RFID experience and knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal, written communications, and organizational skills.
- A demonstrated track record in developing and executing new business opportunities.
- Solid understanding of finance and ROI analysis.
