The Market Development Specialist manages special projects, conducts outreach for sales, gathers feedback, and monitors key accounts to enhance customer engagement.
The Market Development Specialist is a hybrid Inside Sales/Account Management position. The specialist will focus a majority of their time on special projects – making outreach to sell IAA products and services, gather buyer feedback for other internal IAA teams, and discuss third-party partnership opportunities with our general buyer base. The specialist will also monitor a list of accounts who do a large amount of purchasing with IAA to ensure their day-to-day needs are met and help to uncover opportunities for further engagement with our auction.
Responsibilities- Spearhead special project outreach to applicable Buyers for any IAA promotions & co-promotions with our partners and gather feedback or engagement where necessary in collaboration with other IAA departments.
- Identify leads and complete outreach to sell IAA Transport and any other new products/services.
- Understand the products, services and tools customers use to operate their businesses, and offer solutions to create more interactions/additional purchasing opportunities at IAA.
- Present new product, services and partnerships to managed accounts as they are added to IAA’s product portfolio, uncovering business opportunities that may generate incremental revenue and/or create efficiencies.
- Establish efficient communication methods and liaisons between key customers and internal departments.
- Provide superior customer service and adhere to IAA’s Customer Care Values and action customer feedback, working closely with other IAA teams.
- Monitor a list of prioritized accounts on their day-to-day needs while engaging with IAA’s auction services.
- Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
- 2+ years of Business Development or Account Management experience
- 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry
- Professional office work environment
