Our Supply Team is growing, and we want you to be part of it! As a Market Manager, you will play a crucial role in the retention, growth, and optimisation of host entrepreneurs and rising hosts in your assigned territory. These hosts can  You will focus on building strong relationships with these hosts, helping them optimise their listings, improve pricing strategies, and enhance their overall success on Airbnb. 

Hosts are our brand and enable amazing travel experiences for our guests. The mission of the Supply team is to make hosting appealing, rewarding and easy. We are building capabilities that allow us to recruit and retain hosts at a global scale.


The Difference You Will Make:

As Market Manager based in Sydney, you will be responsible for the supply health and growth in key markets across Australia and New Zealand managing professional host accounts and supply acquisition of high-quality inventory. You will build Airbnb’s strong market presence in your assigned region by collaborating with other teams as the local in-market expert.

As someone who knows the Airbnb mission and values inside out, you will drive all phases of supply acquisition and market success, including acquisition strategy development, generating and converting supply leads, and strategic partners relationship management, as well as creating them from scratch.


A Typical Day:

  • Manage a book of business consisting of professional hosts, ensuring their retention, growth, and optimisation on Airbnb.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends and take action on opportunities that drive increased bookings and host success.
  • Manage and deliver innovative supply building projects from concept to implementation.
  • Secure availability over high compression dates, ensuring hosts maximize their revenue potential.
  • Educate hosts on product updates and policy changes, while channeling their feedback to internal teams.
  • Respond to host inquiries and provide timely, high-quality support to improve their experience on the platform.
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with hosts, ensuring they receive ongoing support tailored to their needs
  • Respond to and deliver exceptional service to your professional hosts  in a timely and efficient manner, occasionally traveling to your market to provide in-person support and guidance
  • Work cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy, legal and customer support teams.

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development or customer success
  • 2+ years of technology, travel or hospitality industry experience
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of revenue drivers, emerging industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Highly analytical and ability to transform and interpret data into actionable insights for your hosts and the business.
  • Proven experience working a book of business, driving engagement and growth through proactive account management.
  • Highly goal-driven, with a strong bias for action and persistence in the face of challenges.
  • Proven experience working with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, particularly working with leads and opportunities (Salesforce experience is a plus).
  • Charismatic self-starter who is resourceful and self-sufficient
  • Fluency in English.
