This role suits those who are looking for Part-time · Two days per week · For a current university student who loves marketing and lives in AI tools

This is a real job, not a learning only internship. You will own marketing work that goes out the door; to the Antares website, to our LinkedIn, to our customers, and you will use every AI tool we have (and some we haven't tried yet) to do it better than we could without you. You will get genuine responsibility, real mentorship, and a front-row seat to how a growing Australian Microsoft partner builds an AI practice. We expect you to teach us things.

Who we're looking for

We're hiring someone currently at university, studying marketing, communications, business, design, computer science, or anything adjacent, who is genuinely obsessed with both marketing and AI. The ideal person:

  • Has already used Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Notebook LM, Gemini, or similar tools well past the "write me a tweet" stage. You build prompts, chain them, save the good ones, share them with friends.
  • Has opinions about which AI tool is best for which job, and changes those opinions when something new comes out.
  • Reads about marketing for fun. You follow people on LinkedIn, you have favourite brands, you have strong views about which campaigns are good and which are lazy.
  • Writes well in English. You can tell when copy is sharp and when it's fluff, and you'd rather be sharp.
  • Is comfortable taking a brief, asking a sensible clarifying question, and then getting on with it.
  • Is energised by getting work shipped, not just talked about.
  • Is happy to admit when you don't know something; and then go and figure it out (with AI as your co-pilot, not your crutch).

You do not need years of experience. You need genuine curiosity, real AI fluency, and the discipline to ship.
What you'll actually do

Your work will split roughly across three areas:

Marketing execution (≈ 60%)

  • Publish blog posts, case studies, capability pages, and landing page content to the Antares WordPress site (Gutenberg editor) using our brand system, usually starting from an AI-assisted draft and polishing it to ship.
  • Schedule and publish LinkedIn content for the Antares company page; help senior leaders with their personal LinkedIn (drafting, scheduling, suggesting hooks).
  • Build and send email campaigns in Dynamics 365 (or similar) using our existing templates.
  • Produce social and blog graphics in Canva, plus brief Midjourney for original imagery aligned to our brand.
  • Format sales collateral - PowerPoint decks, capability sheets, proposals, using our branded templates and our internal Claude skills.
  • Maintain marketing lead lists, contact databases, and basic CRM hygiene.

AI workflow building and experimentation (≈ 30%)

  • Build and refine reusable AI workflows for our marketing function; better prompts, better Claude skills, better templates, automation through tools like Zapier or Make.
  • Test new AI tools as they come out. Tell us which ones are worth our time and which are noise.
  • Help prototype small AI-powered marketing experiments; chatbots, personalisation, content engines, research workflows, and report on what works.
  • Document what you build so the rest of the team can use it. This matters: if it's only in your head, it doesn't scale.
  • Sit in on internal AI discussions and contribute. Your perspective as a digital-native AI user is genuinely valuable to us.

Light operational support (≈ 10%)

  • Help coordinate event logistics for webinars, partner events, and customer workshops (invites, reminders, follow-ups).
  • Support partner programme admin tasks where they overlap with marketing, capturing Win Wires for significant deals, helping with co-marketing materials, etc. (You won't be responsible for compliance work, we keep that with senior staff.)
  • General "help us look professional" work - proofreading, formatting, fixing the broken link on the website you spotted at 11pm.

What you get from us

  • Real responsibility from day one. Your work goes out the door. You'll see your blog posts published, your LinkedIn carousels live, your Midjourney imagery on our website.
  • Genuine mentorship. You'll work directly with the Managing Director and Sales Director, plus our practice leaders. We're not parking you with a coordinator.
  • The best AI tooling. Paid Claude account, Midjourney, ChatGPT Plus, Notebook LM, and a real budget to try new tools. Plus access to our internal Claude skills library.
  • Exposure to enterprise AI work. We do real Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, and Microsoft Fabric work with customers like NRMA, Mission Australia, and Haileybury. You'll get to see how AI lands in actual businesses, not just demos.
  • Flexibility around uni. We'll work around your timetable, exam periods, and assignment crunches. We've all been there.
  • A path. If this works and you want a full-time role when you graduate, we'd love to keep you. If you want a reference and some genuinely impressive portfolio work to take elsewhere, you'll have that too.
  • Fair pay. Real money for real work - not below-market rates.

Tools and access we provide

  • Paid Claude account (Pro or Team) and access to our internal Claude skills library.
  • Midjourney subscription, ChatGPT Plus, and budget for additional tools you want to try.
  • Microsoft 365 licence (E3 or E5) and a laptop if you need one.
  • Access to WordPress, Dynamics 365, Canva Pro, LinkedIn scheduler.
  • A clear onboarding programme covering the Antares brand, our four practice areas, and the parts of the Microsoft partner ecosystem you'll bump into.
  • Coffee in the Sydney office and a team who is genuinely fun to work with.

How to apply

Send to [email protected]:

  • A short cover note - a few paragraphs, written by you, telling us what you're studying, why this role interests you, and one AI tool or workflow you think is underrated.
  • Your CV (or LinkedIn profile, if it's good).
  • One example of marketing work you've done - a LinkedIn post, a uni assignment, a side project, a social account you run, anything that shows how you think and write.
  • Optional but encouraged: a short Loom or video walking us through a piece of AI-assisted work you're proud of. Two minutes is plenty.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a paid trial task - about three hours of real work using the AI tools we provide. This is how we hire, not based on degrees or grades.
