About LawY

LawY is transforming how lawyers work by building trusted, purpose-built legal AI with a unique 'human-in-the-loop'. With over 40,000 lawyers on our platform and more than 1,000,000 legal questions answered so far, we're entering our next chapter of growth.

We're part of the LEAP group of companies, supporting 100,000+ lawyers across six countries. This gives us the stability of an established leader with the agility to disrupt the legal AI space.

Our tight-knit team is half practising lawyers, half technical minds, and all passionate about meaningful work without the egos. We've built a world-class platform quickly, and we're just getting started.

We're looking for talented people who want to own their impact and help transform an entire profession alongside genuine, collaborative teammates.

What you'll do

LawY’s customer base is growing, and so is our marketing team. You’ll join as the Marketing Specialist working in a team of 2 with the Head of Marketing. This is a hands on generalist role in a scale-up so one day you might be helping with event merchandise and testimonials, and the next it will be email marketing campaigns and running webinars! You’ll do all of this in an autonomous, tight knit team with zero egos alongside people who genuinely care about the impact on the global legal landscape.

To make this happen, you will:

  • Create, optimise, and amplify content marketing campaigns to drive business objectives
  • Design and execute targeted email marketing campaigns to drive product adoption and engagement
  • Craft compelling copy and champion a consistent brand voice to connect with our key personas
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices across all digital content
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events, including webinars, trade shows, and corporate events
  • Liaise with integration partners and coordinate co-marketing campaigns across a variety of channels
  • Design and edit static creative or short videos to support product launches
  • Monitor marketing trends and produce reporting to measure marketing impact and shape campaign direction

What you'll bring

You have 3-5 years experience in B2B marketing roles, and you’re hungry to join a scale-up at a pivotal time where you’ll help deliver results that matter. On top of this you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience with Mailchimp (or equivalent tools), Webflow (or equivalent tools), and Google Analytics (or equivalent)
  • Experience working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • A strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, email marketing, and events

Consider it a bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premier Pro
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS

You are the type of person who

  • Does not have an ego - You're confident but collaborative, focused on team success over personal recognition. You check your ego at the door and work well with everyone.
  • Is a self-starter with strong initiative - You don't wait for instructions; you see what needs doing and make it happen. You spot opportunities before others and speak up with new ideas.
  • Has a hands-on, get-it-done mindset - You're happy to roll up your sleeves and tackle any task, even the unglamorous ones, as long as it moves the needle. You get satisfaction from crossing things off the list.
  • Is a relationship-builder - You understand that business is built on connections. You're naturally warm and personable, great at building rapport with new people and staying in touch with your network.

LEAP is an inclusive, people-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential. If you meet some, but not all the requirements above, we encourage you to still submit your application.

Why join LEAP?

  • Your work matters. Helping lawyers help people sits at the heart of everything we do. We solve real world problems that improve and support local, everyday law firms. So they can do their best work for the people in the communities they serve.
  • Make an impact. You won’t be another ‘cog in the wheel’ here. We give full trust and autonomy for you to be heard, to work on big & complex projects – and to make a real difference.
  • Work with a group of authentic, passionate people who love what they do.
  • Well-funded and global. LEAP is the leading provider of Legal Practice Productivity Solutions across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and New Zealand. We're part of ATI – one of the largest international LegalTech companies.
  • Flexible and hybrid working. We'd like to find this person in Sydney, but we want you to work in a way that suits you and we're open to flexible arrangements that support you.
  • Grow your career with us. Our founder Christian Beck has been building legal tech businesses for over 30 years. There are opportunities galore to expand your career based on where your interests lie. We're not afraid to pivot based on market conditions - you will always have the opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and do your best work here.
  • Have fun with us. Celebrations. Socials. Sports teams. Access to sailing and yacht events.
  • We value your well-being - enjoy an additional paid wellbeing day every year, free gym membership, corporate dental plan and monthly massages in the office. We'll throw in a catered lunch and breakfast every week too. Oh and an on-site barista.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region. More specifically, its IT sector stands out as the country's third-largest, growing at twice the rate of overall employment in the past decade as businesses continue to digitize their operations to stay competitive.
