About the Role

This role is to define and execute the local marketing plans in line with the Australia market priorities, and will also be handling the embedded audio business in Australia.

The plans are based on the Marketing Roadmap and the embedded strategy for APAC aligned with the Global Brand strategies for all Sound United brands. 

As the Local Marketing Communication Specialist, this person will need to be fully aware of the communication landscape in Australia. To understand the retail market and know all the ins-and outs of online media. This person should be creative and be able to carry out the marketing plans him/herself. This person can create or amend content, whether that’s for online or offline purposes and should know how to implement those. Taking care of local product introductions, product events & supporting the sales team.

The role is part of the Sales & Marketing team in Australia as a member of APAC integrated marketing team. This role will report to the Australia Marketing Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Create & implement annual media & promotion plans in close collaboration with the sales & marketing departments in Australia and marketing teams in APAC.
  • Coordinate and organize product events and trade events.
  • Ensure on time product introduction with related assets: product content on website, newsletters, product presentations, press releases etc.
  • Content management on internal and external communication platforms (forums, blogs, external websites & social media accounts)
  • Initiate and create print ads, online banners, POS materials and/or any other marketing materials necessary to support product launches or local promotions.
  • Collaborate with the other marketing teams in APAC & local sales team to fully understand the markets, the competitive landscape and to support them with marketing-related initiatives.
  • Support the coordinate of in-store promotions like the development, production and distribution of high-quality supporting materials, display material, up to date collateral material.
  • Plan and build the customer pipeline.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • At least 2-4 years’ experience in a similar marketing role
  • Deep understanding of the online & e-commerce landscape in Australia
  • Experience with digital marketing and consumer electronics experience is an advantage
  • Hands-on mentality, flexible, independent worker with creative drive, take initiative, open minded, organizer, clear and open communicator
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task, work under pressure in high pressure environment and deliver on time.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Marketing or Communication Bachelor’s degree.
