Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Procure and expedite materials to meet production requirements in a cost-effective manner, ensuring all forecast requirements are met on time and in full.
- Manage suppliers and communicate priorities daily to ensure best practices in purchasing, delivery, and payment of materials.
- Determine required materials and generate purchase orders, expediting orders as needed to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with warehousing, production, and external supply planning teams to ensure seamless production supply.
- Manage site inventory levels, including slow and obsolete stock (SLOB) management and invoice validation, reconciliation, and queries.
- Participate in site NOP (Notice of Production) process and negotiate with vendors on expected delivery timings.
- Maintain data integrity in BPCS system and notify planners of shortfalls to ensure a feasible production plan.
About you:
- Currently hold or working towards a certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Proven experience in materials purchasing and scheduling, with a strong understanding of supply chain operations
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and databases, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic production setting
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Excel (required)
- Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights
