The Media Buyer is responsible for the activation of all client’s media buys in Online Video, Paid Social, Programmatic, Digital Audio, OOH, Broadcast and print. The media buyer works closely with the Manager to understand the campaign briefs, objectives and our approach with vendor partners. The Media Buyer takes an active role in briefing out partners and activating plans.

This role is responsible for securing the media buys and ensuring they are adhering to best practice guidance from the Manager. The Media Buyer is accountable for media to be input in the system on time and ensure it is ready for invoicing to client in a timely manner. The media buyer builds partnerships with vendors to understand new and innovative opportunities in the market. This is a client facing role on a high functioning team of media professionals passionate about delivering on both short and long-term strategic goals for our clients and the successful delivery of campaigns – as such you will develop and grow quickly in this thriving environment.

Accountabilities:

· Responsible for media buys across various media channels and vendors based on campaigns and clients

· Ensures planned and executed buys are hitting targets approved by client

· Putting together media buy estimates using key platforms – Lens, Meta Planner, Google Planning tools, COMB, Vivadata as relevant

· Ensure media buys are input into system mediaocean prisma/spectra accurately and in a timely manner

· Update greater team on status of in market buys, any issues with inventory of changes to discuss

· Building relationships with key vendors, attending all meetings / seminars / training where possible to know latest updates in media market

· Ensuring Media actualization, reconciliation and discrepancy resolution stay on track with media operations

· Putting together post buys on campaigns for review and feedback from Manager

· Ensure key information is provided to team regarding billing issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.

· Starting to build knowledge and understanding of key media tools for best plans – Lens, Comb, Comscore, Meta business planner, Google business manager, internal planning on proprietary agency tools and others as relevant

· Understands key terminology Impressions, CPPs, GRPs, CTRs etc.

Qualifications:

· 1- 2 years within media agency or client responsible for delivering against media targets

· Excellent knowledge and passion for media

· Strong numerical skills and attention to detail

· Able to work in high pressure environment and resolve client issues

· Able to work collaboratively across teams

· Analytical and strategic

· Proactive problem solving / anticipating client / team needs

· Ability and experience working in a deadline-oriented environment

· Curiosity, and desire to innovate/test new approaches

· Interest or familiarity in planning processes is a bonus

Additional information

The salary range for this position is $50k-$55k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
