Your Role & Team

In this newly created role, we are looking for an experienced ML & AI Engineer to help us accelerate the deployment and operationalisation of predictive models at CreditorWatch.

As part of a ML and AI team within a rapidly growing Data function, you’ll be building scalable ML and AI infrastructure, managing model and feature artefacts, and ensuring robust production workflows.

You will work closely with data scientists and engineering teams to bring models from development to production, with a strong emphasis on reliability, governance, and performance. Our infrastructure is built on AWS, with a data and analytics platform on Databricks.

You'll report directly to the Machine Learning Engineering Manager. Please note, it's a full-time opportunity offering hybrid working conditions out of our Sydney CBD Office.

We are also open to the successful candidate being Melbourne-based.

Some of your responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Build and design production-grade ML systems and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain feature stores, model registries, and artefact tracking systems to support reproducibility and governance.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to transition models from research to production, ensuring scalability and compliance.
  • Build and maintain MCP servers, vector databases to design, support, and implement AI initiatives.
Our ideal candidate
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong focus on production deployment and MLOps.
  • Proven experience with ML platform tools such as MLflow, Sagemaker, Vertex AI, or similar, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and integrated data platforms, Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Deep understanding of AI/MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and end-to-end model lifecycle management in production environments.
  • Experience building MLOps in Databricks highly regarded.
  • Strong experience in Python, SQL and/or other codebases.
